It’s a new school year what better way to start than learning someone new? We have received a few new teachers this year and among  them is Mr. Addicott. He is our new choir director. Also to add to the music department we have gotten the chance to take a new music class, the new class is Ukulele. Mr. Addicott teaches this class and the other choral classes now. Having a new teacher can be interesting since Mrs. Graziani decided to take care of her new children and leave the choral teacher position.

Mr. Addicott has new ways of teaching and directing the music department. He teaches the new class where students can learn how to tune and play ukulele and learn to read music and perform in groups. Ukulele students perform different songs and are working on duo and trio songs. People also get to interact with other they may not have and also get a new interacting with the teacher. “The class may also get to perform in a concert if they do well” says Mr.AddicottI have asked many different students and have gotten the experience myself that Mr. Addicott is a very fun and easy going person. Many students have said they have had a great experience with him already and like the way he teaches. For choir we have learned new warm-ups and new songs and we are hoping the year gets better with this new teacher because it started well.
