Coach Mike O’Lare reached a major milestone in December, earning his 300th career win as a head basketball coach at Mohawk Area School District. O’Lare spent 15 years leading the Mohawk girls’ basketball program, during which he captured multiple WPIAL Class 3A championships and guided the team to several PIAA title game appearances. In 2021, he transitioned to head coach of the boys’ basketball team. Under his leadership, Mohawk basketball—both boys and girls—has become a dominant force in Class 3A.
