Students in the College in High School Anatomy and Physiology class recently visited Allegheny General Hospital’s Open-Heart Surgery Observation Program, where they observed a real open-heart surgery. On the way out, students also watched the AHN LifeFlight helicopter land nearby. The experience gave students a firsthand look into the medical field and connected classroom learning to real-world healthcare careers.
