Our Warrior students have been counting down the days until Christmas break, and the day has finally come! Classes go from assignments and tests to Christmas movies and cocoa. Students are relieved that the break is finally here because to them, it’s not just a break, it’s a well earned pause to worries and responsibilities. This afternoon, the students will burst into the parking lot with joy and excitement, having so much gratitude towards the freedom of the next few weeks. “Have a good day” turns into “Have a good break, see you next year!” A weight lifts off all of the people in the building and all of the academic worries just slowly fade like smoke from a chimney. Late night study sessions turn into late nights of laughter, joy, friends, and family. As John Lennon would say…”War is over.”
