Mikayla, a proud Mohawk alumna from the Class of 2020, has built an impressive start to her career. Although she once dreamed of becoming a foreign ambassador, she is now thriving as an account manager at the digital marketing agency WebFX. Mikayla was hired during her senior year at Penn State and began working full-time immediately after graduation.
When asked which teacher had the greatest impact on her during high school, Mikayla named Mr. Zeh, the band director. She shared that he always pushed his students to do their very best—while also delivering some of the funniest one-liners, which she often wrote on the back of her sheet music.
Mikayla encourages current students to get involved in extracurricular activities, part-time jobs, and volunteer work. “They may seem like small things now,” she said, “but they will help you gain real-life experience and prepare you for the future.”
Her final piece of advice for current Mohawk students: “Enjoy the time you have with your friends making memories, and don’t be afraid to ask your teachers questions—they want to help!”
We are proud to feature Mikayla and celebrate her accomplishments as a member of the Mohawk community.
