This past week, The Mohawk Lady Warriors Basketball team beat Neshannock allowing them to tie for Section Champs with Beaver. Karly McCutcheon scored 22, Paige Julian 21, and Nadia Lape 20.

Neshannock came out in a box and 1, and then tried a triangle and 2. However, Paige and Nadia came out with a strong first quarter, forcing Neshannock to quickly change defenses. Paige Julian netted 12 points in the first quarter.

While Neshannock was trying to figure out how to guard Mohawk, the girls took a big lead; winning by 19 at halftime. The third and fourth quarter, the girls came out with the same energy.

After winning, the girls came back to their home court to cut the net down, honoring their achievements of being Section Champions.

The Girl’s have a Game on Monday, February 10 at Central Valley, a non-section game prior to playoffs.

Mohawk stands at 10-2 going into playoffs, and will find out their seeding and their opponent for first round on Tuesday, February 11th, at 7:30 pm.
