Last Friday the 21st we had our first baseball game of the 2025 season, we started this game with a great lead winning 9-0 in the top of the 4th when the other team started to get runs, we ended up losing that game 12-11. Monday the 24 we had another game against Shenango, which we also lost but we did have a tough fight. I talked to Junior Tallan Swanson who plays left field for Mohawks varsity team to see what he had to say.
Tallan said that he has been playing baseball for as long as he can remember and just continues to love it. I asked Tallan what makes him excited about this season, and he responded with “We have a new team and a few guys coming back but it’s cool to see the new guys out there.” After 2 tough losses I asked Tallan what he thinks that the team needs to work on, his response was “we need to focus on playing as a team and focusing on the easy stuff like being able to come together as a team.”
Their biggest game of the season will be Monday the 31st against Quaker Valley which will be the very first section game.
