Respect is the feeling of admiration for someone that is elicited by a person’s abilities, quantities, or achievements. Treating someone with respect is treating someone the way you want to be treated. Showing respect is showing regards for their abilities and worth, in their feelings and views. Accepting people on an equal basis and giving them the same consideration you would with yourself.
Respect begins with yourself, every person has their own way of coping with the real world. Some people are assertive, the people that make decisions and exude self-confidence. Some people expect to be listened to and some can lack self-confidence, and under-value themselves. The can make a negative impact on the ability to form relationships and engage effectively with others.
