Mohawk Golf Team, coached by Mr. Piccirillo and Mr. Spears, have had an incredible season so far. They have broken their course record three times this season, last time being on their home course. Four of our starting seniors went to the Boys MAC Invitationals on. They had a good day. In the final stretch of the season, our top golfers are attending the boys WPIAL golf matches. We wish them the best of luck as they wrap up their season this year!
When asked about his season, Keigan Hopper was very excited to answer some of my questions!
How has your golf season been so far? – “It has been filled with laughter, jokes, and joy!”
How do you feel about it being your senior season? – “It’s a little sad, but it’s been an awesome experience and I gotta give a big thanks to all the guys and girls on the ream for being great teammates, but more importantly coach Pic aka the “hammer” for being such an awesome coach and friend!”
How do you feel about your upcoming matches? – “I am super excited, but also pretty nervous and anxious.”
Since the regular season is now over, what final words do you have for your teammates? – “Enjoy every van ride, practice, and match because it goes by SSSUUUUPPPPEEERRRR fast, so don’t let one bad drive, chip, or putt affect your round.”
