Boys basketball falls out of WPIAL title shot but still have a chance at state title
The Mohawk boys basketball team finished their regular season with a record of 19 – 3 (10-2) in conference play. This season has definitely been one to remember for the boys. From the start of the season to the finish of it this season has gone really good for the boys. Towards the end of the season there were some hiccups with a couple of losses including the final regular season games against Neshannock. The brackets for the WPIAL playoffs came out on Monday and the Warriors got the number 4 seed and ended up making it past the first round on Monday against the number 13 seed Derry High School but fell short in the second round to Deer Lakes high school. The boys then played a seeding game for the state tournament against Conner Spratt and Seton La Salle but ended up losing. They will play Yough tonight at 7PM. The game is at home. Good luck to these boys in the first round!
