Mohawk Basketball makes it big return over the weekend
Over the weekend the boys and girls basketball teams played in their respective tip – off tournaments. On Friday the boys hosted Slippery rock getting the win 57-55. Leading scorer junior jay Wrona had 21 points in the game. This game would be a big confidence booster heading into Saturday with their game against Northgate. To start the day on Saturday the Girls varsity team played Rochester in the Geneva college/midland tip-off tournament and they would end up winning the game 48-37. This was definitely a good way to open up the season for the lady warriors. Later in the day the boys played at home against Northgate to conclude the Mohawk tip – off tournament and they would end up winning this game 65-56. The next game for the boys will be today at 7:30P.M. at home against Blackhawk. The next time the lady warriors take the court will be tomorrow against Ambridge at 7:30P.M at home.
