Art Showcase – 2018

Mohawk’s annual art show was held on Tuesday, May 8. The art show displays only the best projects from Arts I, II, III, and IV as well as Ceramics, Paintings, and Fashion Design I and II. There were a range of winners this year from Art IV student Erin Kelly’s First place in paintings, and Larissa Butch’s first place on the concepts behind her art, to Mackenzie Jackson’s first in Mixed Media. Everyone who was in the show displayed amazing talent and those who won ribbons did some amazing work. The judges noticed that there are exceptionally promising artists that we should follow next year including: Taylor Wilkins, Kayla Sprumont, and Cierra Murphy. This year there are four seniors continuing in their art after high school. Meghan Meyer is going into Marketing and Business Advertising at the University of Mount Union. Julie Barth is going to La Roche with a major in Interior Design. Kaleigh O’Dell is going to Kent State for Fashion Merchandising. Meghan Johnson going to the Fashion Institute of Technology for Fashion Business Management.
