Veterans Day

Veterans Day

We all know how important our Veterans are to us. After every thing that is going on in this world today, we should never take time out of our day to not remember those who served for us. Many may have thought that our annual Veterans Day program would not be held this year. Even though we couldn’t be there to watch it in person, we still had the opportunity to watch it virtually with the help of some of the teachers at Mohawk. It was a tradition to hold our Veterans day program every year and we couldn’t put it unnoticed because of Covid restrictions. “It took a couple of meetings with our FBLA officers, students, music departments, and the administration. So I would say it took a few weeks  and meetings to come up with a plan.” Mr. DiMuccio says. This is a program that none of us wanted to see not happen, it’s important to all of us. Meetings started back up in the month of September, staff and students put a lot of their time into this program, they all filmed on the auditorium stage after school on November 2. Mr. DiMuccio says “It was truly a collaborative effort!” Don’t forget to thank those who served or those who are still serving, they leave their family for such a long period of time to keep us safe, they do it all for us. They should never be forgotten.
